One of the key objectives of IBMM is to provide easy access to the know-how, facilities and expertise within the Institute. To achieve this objective IBMM has adopted a flexible approach to working with industry and other organisations. In all cases IBMM strives to agree clear deliverables, costs and timescales. Some options for interaction include:

• Delivery of a defined service e.g. coating of an item, characterisation of a component
• Delivery of a finished item e.g. lab-on-a-chip device
• A collaborative research & development project
• Consultancy
• Delivery of a short training course

Confidentiality – IBMM understands the need for confidentiality for work packages and is happy to enter into the appropriate agreements to ensure the information disclosed to IBMM remains confidential.
